Need some sick electronic music? Then check out Windbreaker! It’s the newest project from Nick Reed of Lazer Crystal. I probably like this stuff way more than Lazer Crystal, and maybe you will too. People from all over the world have been commenting on his tracks on Soundcloud and telling him how great his songs are.
“Snow Hawaii” will make you want to get up, jump around, and then run a half-marathon. If you’re in great shape, it’ll make you want to run an ultra-marathon. I actually got up as soon as I heard this song and tested the pace out. It’s perfect for running.
The Whistler featured “Acropolis” on their page when they were promoting a show. This seems to be the popular choice, but it’s not my personal favorite.
“Astral Projected Gunship” is my personal favorite. Those beats are so beautifully crunchy. I’d like to talk to this guy and ask him how he came up with all these sounds.
If you refine a taste for electronic music, as with all acquired tastes, you will realize that some bands are much, much better than others. There are tons of dudes that will show up to college houses and play really terrible stuff, but there are also some genuinely great artists. This is the music of the generation of people currently in college. My parents probably will never appreciate it, nor should I expect them to. I don’t appreciate the music that was created when they were growing up the way they do. Windbreaker is making some great sounds, and you should check them out.
